Experimental projects are creative and artistic forms of inquiry between art, anthropology and education. They are exploratory research in the possibilities of leading groups of people through creative processes of education where body and movement are the core of the experience and a source of knowledge. They are based on Feldenkrais in combination with autobiography taking the form of contemporary philosophical practices. These projects are part of my usual way of teaching where people get involved in series of classes or workshops focusing on themes related to the notion of limit and offering them existential relevant experiences enabling self-transformation.
This way of working fosters paths of awareness and opens up a direction of inquiry into the anthropology of the limit investigating other ways for being human.
Losing oneself
Exploring the parallel between Feldenkrais and Franco Michieli’s idea of “losing oneself”. Franco Michieli – Italian explorer and author of La vocazione di perdersi, suggests travelling without maps and “losing oneself” as a path of hope. Learning from how Franco is able to cope with the unknown and the uncertain, wait in silence, be still, recognize those situations as home when he loses himself in the wild, we might understand deeper about Feldenkrais and the way we can move within.
